He is  in the Polish-Japanese Institute of Information Technology, Warsaw, Poland and University of Colorado Denver, USA.  He graduated with M.S. degree from the Warsaw University of Technology, Poland and earned his Ph.D. and D.Sc. at the Silesian University of Technology, Poland. Recently, he was visiting Professor in the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

His research interests include control theory, system modeling and identification, renewable energy systems, and theory and applications of wavelets. 

Since 2004 Dr. Bialasiewicz has been an associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics and served as Guest Editor of several special sections on renewable energy systems.
